Profile status "dating" or "on a break" or "available"
I would like to see a profile status so that I can temporarily suspend my profile if I an dating or on a break that way people can keep checking out my profile but can message or IM me if the status isn't set to "available"

If you are on a break, your profile will be there, but the whole profile will not be shown. If you are available, the whole profile will show.

Read the first message you ever receive from someone FOR FREE so that it will be easier to decide if paying for a membership is worthwhile. Although in my case, I cannot afford any memberships due to my severely limited income.

age filter
I was on Frumster several years ago. I left the site and did not come back until now because it was absolutely disgusting how I was being contacted by men old enough to be my father and I had no way to limit it. Yes, it's nice that now there's an age filter of 20 years, but it's not enough. I'm 25, it's very inappropriate that my profile should be viewable to a 45 year old man. Let us specify the age filter, or at least reduce it to 10 years.

That is a great suggestion. For now it is a 20 years age difference, however we will keep this in mind. If you want to avoid men or woman contacting over the 20 year range, we recommend that you highlight this in your profile description for now.

Add to Search Filter: Pet Person or Non-Pet Person
Some people are not "pet-people"; some are avid pet-people ... for those who are pet-people, it's not a given that every person is ... and finding like-minded people in this area is not such an easy find.
Pet varieties also play a role--clarifying what type of pets you have or would like/accept in your home also needs to be clarified in the search filters.
Please vote for this idea to help like-minded people find each other.

That is a great suggestion! We value this piece of feedback on regards to whether you are a pet person or not. I would say, if you are for now, please try to clarify that in your description so that other members can see. A member who is also an avid pet person is sure to respond!

Search Feature For Past Emails
It'd be great to be able to sort emails by profile name or to have them searchable from the profile if you've ever emailed in the past.

JWed Plus Messaging
The problem with + is that it emails the message to the person you send it to.
Which removes two key features of JWed, Editing after sending and knowing when the message is read.
What if instead of emailing the message to them, you just gave them access to view it on the website and emailing them that they may see and respond to it, since it was sent from Jwed?17 votes -
Disable copying pictures
I noticed that on your site, it is possible to right click to copy and save images, such as people's profile pictures. I feel like this is very unsafe and can become a breach of privacy, confidentiality, and is not very tzniut. Other Jewish dating sites have disabled this. I highly recommend doing this for your site too, it makes me want to disable my account, although I would have otherwise been a paid subscriber.

Remove "Jewish Convert" designation
Take down the broadcasting of "Jewish Convert" right below someone's name bc it's usser to remind someone of their status that way. This is purporting to be a halachic site, and it's a blatant transgression of halachah.

Please make it possible to pay for membership with an Israeli sheqel credit card. Not everyone has dollar accounts.

searchable and filterable field for maximum age range
Members would be able to set the maximum age range that they are willing to consider for a match. This field in turn would be searchable and filterable so that people could limit their searches to those members who indicated the searcher's age is acceptable. This would serve a different function than the current age setting, which is currently limited to a setting of twenty years above the member's own age, and is not searchable.

Applying location settings to e-mail recommendations
I have noticed that when I get an e-mail with the subject "Here are your 9 new matches...", most of the "new matches" are not within the locations I have set within the system. As such, I will usually put the e-mail directly in the garbage due to lack of applicability.
Example: I live in Israel and when I visit the U.S., I go to Maryland, and those are the two locations I have loaded into the system. However I get recommendations in California or Toronto...

Include a kashrut level question in Orthodox/Shomer Mitzvot profiles
Could include options such as: eat only dairy out (in non-kosher establishments), chalav Yisrael, only reliable kosher symbols...

you may increase your membership and change advertising by following pay plan. pay one dollar more each month as member. first month one dollar, second month $2, third month $3 and if people like it they stay. the only thing people may sign off and sign back up for $1 so each member should have unique id like DOB plus last 4 of social..

Inactive members
Members who have not logged in for more than a year or two might already be married. So maybe its a good idea to send an automated email if to delete the account or not.
